So popsicles and ice-cream are good, but not for every meal; or so says the patient, Miss Maddi.
Today is day 3 post-surgery, and Maddi is doing so much better. She is a completely different kid today. She is not quite so sore, much more alert and her color is finally back to normal.
Everything went well. The staff at Children's Hospital in Denver were absolutely wonderful. We ended up needing to stay overnight as Maddi's oxygen levels would not regulate after the procedure. I guess 1 in 20 kids will have this reaction to the anesthesia. Maddi was lucky number 1.
This is Maddi's ENT - Dr. Yoon.
