Greetings from Planet Winterwonderland

Yes, it's cold. Yes, it's blustery and Yes, it's still coming down, but . . . isn't it pretty? What other time are you allowed to see everyday objects mimic candy land? See my outdoor fireplace? It looks like a cupcake!

I am showing you my front flower bed below. Poof! Gone!
Tucked safely underneath a thick layer of white icing!
Of course, this is not so pretty or fun to a someone this size . . .
We did shovel a path for him last night. But this is what we woke up to - from his perspective.

Welcome to Winter...whether or not you're ready or you're happy about it! Although it's hard not be happy about it when you have a snow cupcake in your backyard, how awesome is that?

It isn't allowed to snow here until we rake all of the leaves in our backyard! There are as many as the "sands of the sea" out there.

And the cupcake is cracking me up! I guess our trampoline would transform into a birthday cake!

The snow against the doorwall reminded my of the "big snow" we had in Livonia at the old house. Jeff N and Melanie were with us at that time. Jeff N and I spent several hours trying to dig out of our driveway so we could use the cars. Wow what a job!

Tomorrow I'm going to finish blowing the leaves off of the deck. Our association gardners have finished the last cutting of the lawn and leaf blowing. We can see the stream again (sounds like a song title) ha.
